Well done to all of our year 11 students for all of their hard work!
Today is the day they have been waiting for over the last 9-10 weeks…GCSE results day. It was fantastic to see so many of our year 11s in school to collect their results and share their successes with family and friends. Today is a real celebration of the amount of hard work and effort that our students have put in to studying for their exams.
There have been some amazing stories of individual successes. In particular I would like to congratulate the following students for their performance:
- Harvey Baker, who achieved a simply outstanding set of grades: eight Grade 9s and a Grade 8.
- Louise Machin, who achieved three Grade 9s, four Grade 8s and a Grade 7.
- Ella Burkinshaw, who achieved two Grade 9s, four Grade 8s and two Grade 7s.
- Julia Draycott, who achieved one Grade 9, three Grade 8s and four Grade 7s.
Under the new grading system grades between 7 and 9 represent A and A* grades.
We would also like to congratulate Liddy Allen, who achieved the highest progress score in the whole year group.
There was a really positive atmosphere in school today. There have been so many individual success stories and there have been many positive conversations with students about their next steps. The future looks very bright for the Heritage High School class of 2019.
I would like to send the very best wishes to all of our students on their next steps, and to thank all of their families for your support during your son/daughter’s time at Heritage High School.
